Symphony Orchestra to Give Musical Treats for Halloween

Get in the spirit of All Hallow鈥檚 Eve by wearing a costume to the UL Lafayette Symphony Orchestra鈥檚 annual Halloween concert.

You鈥檒l fit right in, since orchestra members will be wearing costumes, too.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Angelle Hall Auditorium on campus. The conductor will be Michael Blaney, director of Orchestral Activities at UL Lafayette.

Musical highlights of this year鈥檚 concert include selections from 鈥淛ames Bond鈥 and 鈥淩aiders of the Lost Ark,鈥 Danse Macabre (Dance of Death) and Prokofiev's 鈥淩omeo and Juliet.鈥 The orchestra will also present a world premiere performance of Eric Sharp鈥檚 鈥淩enegade Convergence鈥 featuring the UL Lafayette Dance program.

Admission is $8 for adults, free for anyone 17 and younger; and free for all UL Lafayette students, faculty and staff with ID. All proceeds benefit the UL Lafayette Orchestra Program.
