UL Lafayette offers a course on the fundamentals of querying.

It shows how Structure Query Language, a special-purpose programming language, is used as a tool to implement logic and define instructions. Topics to be covered include: executing a simple query, performing a conditional search, organizing data, retrieving data from tables and comparing the results of two queries.

The course consists of two four-hour sessions: July 27 and Aug. 3, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The course fee is $225.
