Graduate programs recognized by U.S. News & World Report

Considering an advanced degree? The 青青草视频 would be a good place to earn one, according to U.S. News & World Report.

U.S. News鈥 2023-2024 Best Graduate Schools rankings released Tuesday recognized UL Lafayette in every major discipline considered by the publication and for which the University offers an advanced degree. It examined and ranked graduate programs in six major disciplines 鈥 business, education, engineering, law, medicine and nursing 鈥 and specialty areas.

The B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration, the College of Education & Human Development, the College of Engineering, and the College of Nursing & Health Sciences were all cited. The University offers no graduate or undergraduate programs in law or medicine.

鈥淚t鈥檚 recognition that rests on a standard of excellence established by committed faculty members across campus who create learning environments that, in turn, attract academically and professionally accomplished students,鈥 said Dr. Mary Farmer-Kaiser, dean of the Graduate School.

鈥淎s a result, our graduate offerings are strong across the board, enabling our students to thrive as leaders in their disciplines and fields,鈥 Farmer-Kaiser added.

The Best Graduate School rankings are designed to help prospective college students make decisions about where to enroll and programs they want to pursue. To compile them, U.S. News researches and ranks graduate programs across the country.  

U.S. News considers factors such as quality of academic programs, research, and faculty members and students, and employment rates of graduates and university-reported data.

Data for 2023-24 in all six disciplines came from statistical surveys of 2,214 programs and from reputation surveys sent to approximately 6,300 academics and 12,690 professionals. The information was collected during the Fall 2022 semester and earlier this year.

Overall, the College of Engineering was No. 164 and the College of Education & Human Development was No. 180.

Programs offered by the colleges of Business Administration, Engineering, Nursing & Health Sciences, and the Ray P. Authement College of Sciences were also singled out.

The College of Engineering鈥檚 engineering technology program was No. 103.

The College of Sciences鈥 computer engineering (No. 118), computer science (No. 137) and mathematics (No. 159) graduate programs were each recognized.

The College of Nursing & Health Sciences鈥 doctor of nursing practice program was No. 139.

The College of Business Administration鈥檚 MBA program was No. 211 in the 鈥減art-time MBA鈥 category. The curriculum, however, is the same whether students are enrolled part-time, full-time, on campus or online.
