He said, 鈥淎s a graduate student at UL Lafayette, I have had the privilege of being a part of a dynamic and collaborative research environment. UL Lafayette is well-known for its research, and this is evident in the numerous opportunities available to graduate students like me. The research project I have worked on includes the application of Machine Learning techniques in healthcare.鈥
Clement is currently the president of the (GSO) and advocates for students from all levels of society. He believes in helping the community around him succeed on and off campus.
鈥淚 have had great experiences in and outside the classroom. One of my favorites thus far has been the numerous opportunities to get involved in student organizations and to give back to the community through events like 鈥
Supporting graduate students with career pathways is a key factor for graduate programs at UL Lafayette.
鈥淭he faculty at UL Lafayette has been of tremendous support for my career. I have received career advice, presentations from companies, and referrals to on-campus resources like the Office of Career Services and the Office of International Affairs to adequately address any challenges I might face at any time,鈥 Clement said.

Clement said, 鈥淏SU is important at UL Lafayette because it supports the academic development of minority students and facilitates social interaction of these students with the faculty and staff in the University.鈥
When asked about what words of encouragement he would give prospective graduate students, Clement shared.
